Accessibility statement

Last reviewed: 5 May 2026

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the flonancial website at flonancial.co.uk, including the public landing pages and the authenticated app that lets sole traders and UK landlords submit Making Tax Digital for Income Tax updates to HMRC.

How accessible we aim to be

flonancial is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard. Based on a self-assessment dated 5 May 2026, against all 50 Level A and AA success criteria, the site either meets each criterion or the criterion is not applicable (for example, the criteria that apply only to audio or video content).

We say “built to meet” rather than “fully conformant” because conformance can only be claimed after independent third-party testing. We have not yet commissioned an external audit. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as a minimum target and plan to commission an external audit before our first cohort of paying users.

What you can do if you cannot use part of this site

If you find a part of flonancial that is difficult or impossible to use, please email hello@flonancial.co.uk with a description of the problem and the page address. We aim to respond within five working days. If you need information from this site in a different format, such as plain-text email or a format that suits your assistive technology, we will help where we can.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

flonancial is designed to work with current major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The site uses standard HTML semantics, ARIA attributes where they add value, and full keyboard operability so that it is usable with screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-control software, and other assistive technologies that support those standards.

How we tested this site

The 5 May 2026 self-assessment was carried out by William Cale, founder of Flonancial Ltd, using a combination of code review of all public and authenticated pages, automated checks (browser developer tools, contrast measurement), and keyboard-only navigation testing.

The completed WCAG 2.1 AA checklist is available on request. We will publish updated assessments here as the product evolves, and we will update this statement when we commission an independent audit.

Known limitations

The interactive demo on the landing page lets users click cells in an uploaded spreadsheet preview. Screen-reader users can operate the table via standard keyboard interaction, and clear text instructions describe what to pick at each step. We are tracking additional ways to surface that guidance to non-sighted users in a future release.

Some Lucide icons used decoratively across the site are programmatically hidden from assistive technologies because their meaning is already conveyed by adjacent visible text. If you find an icon that is meaningful but not announced, please let us know.

Enforcement

flonancial is operated by Flonancial Ltd, a UK limited company (Company No. 17090724) and is provided free of charge to UK taxpayers. If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not satisfied with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice.
